Bitcoin Price Stages Comeback, Solana Surges Twice as Hard

Bitcoin took a hard hit yesterday and was teetering on the edge, but in the evening, the tide turned dramatically. In just a few hours, the entire day’s losses were erased, and the price is now looking much healthier.

The rest of the market is riding the coattails of the number one cryptocurrency, and Solana, in particular, is having a very good day.

BTC Shows Resilience

On Wednesday evening, shortly after the U.S. Federal Reserve cut interest rates, the Bitcoin price still peaked at $94,500. But yesterday morning, the largest cryptocurrency was available for less than $90,000.

The price had plunged by 5 percent, and it struggled to recover during the day. Towards the end of the afternoon, it even dipped slightly lower. Around 17:00, the lowest point of $89,300 was reached.

After that, buyers were massively awakened. The price made a parabolic surge and peaked at nearly $93,600 by 22:30. That represents a total increase of just under 5 percent.

Overnight, it took some time to recover from this move. At 02:00, it took another sharp dip to $91,500, but aside from that, it has remained above $92,000.

The price is now, for the umpteenth time, facing the hurdle around the $93,000 mark. Buyers have their hands full here, as it has been rejected at this level several times in recent weeks. A breakout could open the door for a further climb towards the magical $100,000.

At the time of writing, the BTC price on crypto exchange OKX is $92,664. On the Dutch exchange Bitvavo, the BTC price in euros comes to €78,951. Compared to 24 hours ago, BTC is up 2.87 percent.

Solana Gains Nearly 7%

On the altcoin market, it’s also a party, although most coins are overshadowed by the number one.

For example, Ethereum, which has often outperformed Bitcoin recently, has risen by 1.90 percent in the past day. And Ripple, better known as XRP, is posting a gain of 1.51 percent.

Furthermore, Dogecoin is up 2.14 percent, and Cardano is still down 0.52 percent.

Solana is benefiting significantly from the upswing and is 6.68 percent more expensive than yesterday.
