The bitcoin price is doing much better today than in previous days. While we can’t speak of a serious recovery yet, bitcoin is already several percent higher than 24 hours ago. Will this rise continue, or will the market turn fire-red again soon?
Market Overview #
The price of bitcoin started the day around $84,200. That was simultaneously the low point, because since then the price has only risen. At the time of writing, we are a neat 2.7 percent higher. A welcome breather for traders and investors.
That the price is now picking up is of course a positive sign, but it unfortunately gives no guarantee that we have already reached the bottom. Yet other signals also show positive things. For example, the Relative Strength Index (RSI – an indicator that measures whether an asset is ‘oversold’ or ‘overbought’) is currently extremely low.
This suggests that the selling pressure may have already reached its peak, as analyst Crypto Goos also states. We often see a trend reversal at an extreme RSI level. But as is often the case in the world of crypto, that is anything but a guarantee. Whether this was the bottom we therefore cannot say yet. For that, bitcoin will first have to show another big movement. Up or down.

Bitcoin is currently available for a price of €75,700 on the Dutch crypto exchange Bitvavo, a rise of 3.5 percent. On OKX, the price comes out at $86,900, a rise of 3.4 percent.
