Elon Musk's Chatbot Goes Rogue – Calls Him Stronger Than Mike Tyson

The latest update to Elon Musk’s chatbot Grok caused quite a stir this week. The system seemed completely obsessed with its own creator. Users saw Grok portray the world’s richest man, Musk, as someone stronger than Mike Tyson, more athletic than LeBron James, and even more attractive than Brad Pitt. Most of these statements have since been removed.

While the reactions were hilarious, beneath the surface lies a serious warning: too much power in one person’s hands can significantly increase the risk of bias.

Elon Musk’s AI is Obsessed with Its Creator

Shortly after the update, numerous posts appeared in which Grok made exaggerated statements about its creator. Some responses were so absurd that they were later removed by the team. Musk blamed "adversarial prompting," claiming users deliberately misled the AI. But experts say this is a symptom of a much deeper problem.

According to experts, an overly centralized AI structure is a recipe for institutional bias. When one company determines how a model is trained, what data it uses, and what worldview it reproduces, there’s a risk that the company’s preferences are presented as objective truth.

This isn’t intentional, but the effect is enormous: millions of users receive the same one-sided answers without knowing how they are formed. This is exactly where decentralization comes in. By distributing AI systems across a network, as is done with crypto, instead of keeping them within one company, it becomes impossible for one party to have full control.

Data can be distributed, models can become more transparent, and outputs can be checked and verified. This makes AI less susceptible to human preferences and prevents one person or company from determining how digital truth is shaped.

Musk Changes Stance on Bitcoin

Meanwhile, Musk has been surprisingly positive about Bitcoin lately. This is remarkable because he criticized the coin’s energy consumption for years and Tesla stopped accepting Bitcoin payments.

But on X, he responded to a post by Zerohedge, stating that Bitcoin is based on real energy, something that cannot be faked. According to him, this is precisely why Bitcoin has value in a time when governments weaken their currencies to finance the AI race.

The Grok incident was amusing, but it exposes a major vulnerability. AI is growing rapidly and influencing more of our daily lives. Therefore, we should invest in decentralization now. With the help of crypto networks, AI can become fairer and more independent.
