AI-Generated Memecoin #
Turbo, also known as Turbo Toad Token, is a memecoin conceived by an AI. The token was launched over two years ago on the Ethereum network with a budget of just $69 and claims to be the world’s first AI-generated memecoin.
The token achieved spectacular success in 2024, when its price exploded by over 1,700% in May. Subsequent rises pushed the price even higher to a peak of $0.0135. Since the beginning of 2025, however, the momentum seemed to fade, with the price declining by about 90%, all the way back to $0.00136.
Yesterday, the price of Turbo suddenly surged again, roughly doubling to $0.0026 in just a few hours. Trading volume also exploded as more traders piled into the memecoin, jumping from $27 million to an impressive $317 million – more than eleven times as much. On the Dutch trading platform Bitvavo, Turbo is in the top three fastest risers.

What’s Behind the Price Surge? #
There doesn’t appear to be a fundamental reason for the surge. However, some analysts point to seven new wallets that purchased 2 billion Turbo tokens, worth $4.23 million (€3.66 million), right before the price increase.
Fresh wallets going full goblin mode on $TURBO right now. 7 brand new wallets just scooped more than 2 billion $TURBO straight from Coinbase. These purchases may have caused the price to break through key resistance levels. As a result, the price chart looked much more favorable. Since many traders use technical analysis, which gave a green light, they piled into the coin to profit from the surge.
Further Rise or a Dump? #
Whether there is much further upside ahead remains to be seen. At a current price of $0.0025, Turbo is again facing resistance at around $0.0026. The next resistance level after that is at $0.0031.
Given that the price has already risen significantly in a short time, it’s uncertain whether investors will continue buying with the prospect of new resistance levels, or if they will take the opportunity to cash out and exit. In the crypto market, after a major ‘pump’, a significant ‘dump’ often follows. This happens especially with memecoins without concrete applications, like Turbo.
