Trump-Linked Company Now Holds Largest Bitcoin Reserve

Eric Trump

The recent decline in bitcoin hasn’t stopped companies from accumulating more. American Bitcoin, backed by Eric Trump, now holds more bitcoin on its balance sheet than ProCap Financial, demonstrating that companies remain active even in weaker market conditions.

American Bitcoin purchased over 1,000 bitcoin since early December, bringing its total holdings to 5,044 bitcoin, valued at approximately $443 million.

American Bitcoin has now overtaken ProCap Financial in total bitcoin reserves. ProCap holds around 5,000 bitcoin. Both companies expanded their positions over the past few weeks.

ProCap was founded by entrepreneur Anthony Pompliano with the goal of building a financial platform centered around bitcoin. The rapid changes in corporate holdings show how active this market currently is.

American Bitcoin went public this year through a merger with Gryphon Digital Mining. The company previously operated under a different name before choosing a new direction focused on building a large bitcoin reserve.

Eric Trump brought attention to the company as part of this strategy, generating additional interest. The focus remains on holding bitcoin on the balance sheet.

Corporate Reserves Grow While Stocks Remain Volatile

An increasing number of publicly traded companies are adding bitcoin to their balance sheets. Together, the 100 largest holders now own more than 1.08 million bitcoin. Money continues flowing into bitcoin through ETFs as well.

Despite volatility, companies keep buying. Strategy reported this week that it purchased more than 10,000 bitcoin in one week, bringing its total acquisition over two weeks to over 20,000 bitcoin.

At the same time, shares of bitcoin-related companies are under pressure. These stocks often move more dramatically than bitcoin itself, leading to larger swings during declines and recoveries.

The market will be watching for new corporate purchases and ETF figures in the coming period. How companies handle fluctuating prices and financing will also remain important.
