A new study reveals that pharmacy assistants have the most stressful job in the Netherlands. Despite a recent significant pay raise, the profession grapples with high work pressure, staff shortages, and aggression from patients.

New data from the Dutch Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reveals the average savings for different age groups in the Netherlands. The 18-25 age group has an average of €10,800 saved, while the 65-75 group holds the most at €76,600.

Dutch households paid 17 billion euros in environmental taxes in 2024, a 12% increase from the previous year, despite temporary tax reductions. The biggest cost items were energy taxes and vehicle tax, and without the temporary reductions, the burden would have been even higher.
